Waste Management Fine for Contaminating Recycling
We were just fined for contaminated recycling and Waste Management will continue to levy fines whenever we do not follow the particular guidelines for their recycling program. Please take note of the following:
- Click the above link on our website to review all recycling and garbage guidelines and strictly follow these guidelines
- Some companies actually print on their packaging that it is recyclable, and often it is not accepted by Portland recycling vendors such as Waste Management. You must follow City of Portland recycling guidelines.
- If you have questions about recycling after consulting the website page, please check with Jan Clark at 503-206-4872. Jan also has recycling flyers that you can post inside a cupboard door or elsewhere to assist in following our particular guidelines.
- Any contractors hired by the Board or hired by individuals must dispose of ALL waste without using Glenwood’s garbage or recycling. Please make sure you advise any contractors of this stipulation.
- As you know, these fines increase our operating expenses and could even result in a vendor refusing to serve us if violations are repeated often enough.
Condo Yard Sale
Several Windsor residents will be setting up tables in the empty parking lot across the street from Windsor I on Aug 1 from 9am – 5pm to sell their garage items. They plan to advertise this sale on Craig’s List, Nextdoor, Facebook Marketplace and EstateSales.org.
